PRODUCTION NOTES
The Challenge
Applying high-build Scodix 3D glossy UV embellishments over a scratch-resistant matte film on a 3.5mm thick board without edge lifting, micro-bubbling, or loss of textural detail.
Our Solution
Calibrated digital varnish pass heights and surface tension parameters prior to production. By maintaining tight curing temperature curves, the high-gloss polymer achieved crisp 3D dimensional elevation and strong adhesion over the anti-scratch film.
The Challenge
Stamping fine gold typography and star motifs on a die-cut bellyband coated with directional brushed texture film without heat distortion or misregistration during embossing.
Our Solution
Standardized horizontal film lamination orientation across sheets. Utilized CNC-milled brass dies for single-pass foil stamping (Kurz SA-901A) and hydraulic registered debossing to guarantee sharp contrast and precise alignment against the brushed background.
The Challenge
Matching metallic gold hues between PMS 871C (on 157g coated art paper with gloss varnish) and PMS 871U (printed in two passes on 180g uncoated endpaper).
Our Solution
Added specialized ink dryers and executed a two-pass offset application for the uncoated endpaper to prevent over-absorption. Spectral ink density checks ensured a consistent, luxurious golden luster across all pages and components.
