The Ultimate Eco-Standard – Sourcing 100% Recycled Board
The Challenge
This project demanded strict sustainability not just for the pages (FSC Mix Credit), but for the internal "skeleton" as well: the greyboard had to be "FSC Recycled 100%."
Sourcing 3.0mm high-density greyboard with a 100% Recycled certification is difficult, as most market stock is only "FSC Mix." Lower-quality recycled boards often suffer from surface impurities or lack rigidity.
Our Solution
Custom Sustainable Sourcing: Leveraging our global supply chain, we sourced A-Grade FSC Recycled 100% greyboard that met both environmental and structural rigidity standards.
Chain of Custody (CoC) Management: We implemented strict material isolation and tracking throughout production, guaranteeing full traceability and valid FSC certification for the final product.
The Art of Absorption – Color Fidelity on 140gsm Uncoated Paper
The Challenge
The entire book was printed on 140gsm Woodfree (Uncoated) Paper.
Uncoated stock is highly absorbent. When printing detailed lifestyle photography, the ink sinks into the fibers, often resulting in dull colors and lost shadow details (severe dry-back), making it hard to achieve the vibrancy seen on coated papers.
Our Solution
Uncoated Profile Calibration: Our pre-press team applied specific color profiles (e.g., Fogra 47 compliant) tailored for high-white uncoated paper, pre-compensating for dot gain to open up shadow detail.
High-Pigment Inks: We utilized high-density vegetable inks to achieve rich saturation with a thinner ink film, ensuring vibrant visuals without drying issues.
