PRODUCTION NOTES

Resolving Loss of Fine Details During Metallic Hot Stamping on Tactile Fabric

The Challenge

The custom hardcover uses a specialized white silk-cotton tactile fabric as the outer wrapping material. Initial pre-production prototyping revealed that stamping a green metallic foil onto this porous fabric caused a noticeable loss of fine design details and blurred the logo elements due to the fabric's textured surface.

Our Solution

Adjust the production workflow to execute a triple-stamping technique (stamping three times) combined with a deep debossing strike to flatten the underlying fabric fibers. This ensures that the green metallic foil adheres firmly into the texture while keeping all white fine negative details sharp and visible.

Achieving Flawless Multi-Process Alignment of Screen Printing and Debossing on Multi-Component Hard Slipcases

The Challenge

The premium protective slipcase requires a precise alignment process where an opaque white circular pattern is first screen-printed onto a custom-dyed fabric casing. A subsequent deep debossing run must perfectly register along the precise outer perimeter of that screen-printed circle without any overlapping or deviation across thousands of units.

Our Solution

Establish rigid mechanical guide alignments on both the silk-screen pressing equipment and the heavy-duty stamping machinery. Operators must conduct rigorous pilot-run registration checks to lock down consistent feeding positioning, eliminating alignment drift between the screen ink layer and the perimeter debossing mold.

Maintaining Precise Structural Assembly and Wrinkle-Free Sealing for Corrugated Mailer Boxes

The Challenge

The custom packaging set requires assembling a complex multi-layered structure where a heavy hardcover book is nested into an inner rigid tray, placed inside a protective outer box, and then manually sealed with transparent tape. Prototyping feedback indicated a high risk of manual inconsistency, specifically resulting in wrinkled tape seals and potential misalignments of the interlocking outer closure flaps.

Our Solution

Create specialized structural packing fixtures and assembly templates for the manual finishing line to hold the custom corrugated boxes perfectly square during closure. Implement strict manual tension standards for the sealing tape line to guarantee it remains completely straight and smooth across the side seams without encroaching onto the main faces.
