ARTRON Wins Six Awards at the 2026 Asian Print Awards

ARTRON has received six awards at the 2026 Asian Print Awards, including two Gold Awards, two Silver Awards and two Bronze Awards across limited editions, educational publishing and book printing categories.

The six recognized works reflect very different approaches to the physical book — from tactile cultural publications and educational titles to collectible art books and technically demanding multi-colour productions.

More importantly, each project demonstrates how materials, structure, printing and finishing can work together to transform an idea into a distinctive physical object.

Two Gold Awards

A Tactile Journey Along the River During the Qingming Festival

Gold Award — Limited Editions / Artwork Reproductions

A Tactile Journey Along the River During the Qingming Festival explores how one of China's most recognized works of art can be experienced beyond conventional visual reproduction.

The publication transforms visual information into a tactile reading experience, demonstrating how print production can help make cultural heritage accessible through material, structure and touch.

For a project of this kind, the physical construction of the book is not simply a container for content — it becomes part of the way the work is experienced.

Acupuncture of Time Acupoints Space

Gold Award — Education

Acupuncture of Time Acupoints Space received a Gold Award in the Education category.

The publication combines specialist academic content with a restrained and carefully considered physical presentation.

Its material choices, typography and book construction support a subject that brings together traditional knowledge, spatial concepts and contemporary educational communication.

The project demonstrates how book production can help complex information become more structured, approachable and engaging.

Two Silver Awards

BranD Magazine Issue 80

Silver Award — Education

BranD Magazine Issue 80 received a Silver Award in the Education category.

Known for its strong visual language and focus on contemporary design culture, the publication brings together editorial content, illustration, typography and physical print production.

The project highlights the continuing role of print as a medium for visual communication — where paper, colour and format contribute directly to the reader's experience.

Reading the Central Axis

Silver Award — Book Printing: Less than 4 Colours

Reading the Central Axis received a Silver Award in the Book Printing – Less than 4 Colours category.

Working with a restricted colour system places greater emphasis on tonal control, paper, registration, structure and production consistency.

Rather than relying on a broad colour palette, the publication uses restraint as part of its visual language, allowing materials and construction to play a more prominent role in the final object.

Two Bronze Awards

Football: The Impossible Collection

Bronze Award — Limited Editions / Artwork Reproductions

Published by Assouline, Football: The Impossible Collection approaches football not only as a sport, but as a cultural and collectible subject. The edition belongs to Assouline's Impossible Collection series. ASSOULINE

Its distinctive green presentation and sculptural football element turn the publication into an object intended to be experienced visually and physically.

The project illustrates the increasingly blurred boundary between book, collectible object and luxury presentation — an area where printing, materials, packaging and construction all need to work as one system.

Artifacts: Porsche Motorsport

Bronze Award — Book Printing: 4 or More Colours

Artifacts: Porsche Motorsport received a Bronze Award in the Book Printing – 4 or More Colours category.

The publication documents Porsche motorsport through a highly graphic physical format, with the official edition presented under the title Artifacts: Porsche Motorsport. ERG Media

Its bold red, black and white visual system, distinctive construction and external fastening detail make the physical edition an integral part of the project's identity.

For production, this kind of publication requires coordination between colour reproduction, material selection, structural execution and finishing consistency.

Six Projects, Six Different Production Challenges

Although the six award-winning works belong to different publishing categories, they share one important characteristic:

the physical form of the publication matters.

Across the projects, the production process involved different decisions around:

  • colour and image reproduction
  • paper and material selection
  • book structure
  • binding
  • tactile elements
  • finishing
  • testing and prototyping
  • production consistency

For ARTRON, this is where premium printing goes beyond reproduction.

A successful book project requires an understanding of both creative intent and manufacturing reality — how an idea can be translated into paper, colour, structure, surface and form.

From Creative Intent to Physical Object

The six awards recognize the finished works, but behind every finished publication is a collaborative process involving clients, designers, editors, project teams and production specialists.

Different ideas require different solutions.

Sometimes the challenge is colour.

Sometimes it is material.

Sometimes it is structure.

Sometimes the book itself needs to become an object.

This is the role ARTRON continues to explore:

turning ambitious creative ideas into physical books that can be produced, held and experienced.

We are grateful to the clients, designers and project teams behind these award-winning works.

We make books the most attainable works of art.
